About Pack & Slab

Pack & Slab is an independent publication for trading card collectors. We research the products and topics collectors deal with every day, from Pokémon and sports card releases to binders, sleeves, toploaders, and grading, and we explain which options are worth your money.

Our mission

Building a card collection should not require hours of second-guessing. Our job is to do that work for you: narrow a crowded category down to the standouts, explain the trade-offs in plain language, and help you buy the right product the first time.

How we stay independent

Our recommendations are made by our editorial team alone. Brands cannot pay to be featured, to earn a higher LAT Score, or to change a verdict. We do not accept payment for reviews, and sponsored placements never appear inside our rankings. When our opinion of a product changes, we update the recommendation.

How we make money

Pack & Slab is reader-supported. When you buy through links on our site, we may earn an affiliate commission at no extra cost to you. Those commissions fund our research and keep the site free to read. Commercial relationships never influence which products we recommend. For the full details, see our Affiliate Disclosure.

Meet the team

Every article on Pack & Slab is credited to the person who wrote it, with a profile page collecting their work.

How we reach our verdicts

We evaluate products through careful research and evidence synthesis rather than guesswork. To see exactly how we compare products and calculate the LAT Score, read How We Review.
